As you may already know we are in our 6th year of sponsoring Ramsgate Week, and this year promises to be another exciting event.
With plenty to see and do not only with the regatta, but across the town it’s always a good idea to know what’s on, with races running on each of the six days.
Sunday 21st July…
Round the Goodwins: A stand-alone race for all classes of yachts and also part of the East Anglian Offshore Racing Association sailing calendar.
Monday 22ndJuly…
The Mayor of Ramsgate will fire the cannon to officially start Ramsgate Week at 11am. IRC Regatta Series Race 1 and Cruiser Regatta Series Race 1.
Tuesday 23rdJuly…
IRC Regatta Series Race 2 and Cruiser Regatta Series Race 2.
Wednesday 24thJuly…
Spinlock IRC East Coast Regional Championship begins and will continue on Thursday & Friday. The same race also forms part of the continuing IRC Regatta Series Race 3.
Thursday 25thJuly…
The IRC Fleet will compete in 2 Races. Both races will form part of the QEII Cup as well as being part Spinlock IRC East Coast Regional Championships Races 2 & 3 and also be scored for the continuing IRC Regatta Races 4 & 5.
The Cruiser Class will sail one race today, Cruisers Regatta Series Race 4.
Friday 26thJuly…
The Gold Cup, a race which is competed for by all IRC yachts and also the majority of the Cruiser Classes 5 & 6.
This race is also scored as part of the Spinlock IRC East Coast Regional Championships Race 4, as well as being Race 6 of the IRC Regatta Series and Race 5 of the Cruisers Regatta Series.
The Cruiser Class Race starts can be easily viewed from the beach of the harbour wall and will start at 11am every day expect for Sunday, when the Cruiser Fleet will join the IRC Fleet in their offshore Committee boat start at 10am.
